Last week Julie was visiting a client in Toronto and had just enough time for a quick visit to the Toronto Music Garden with her video camera. Eleven years after the garden was built, the plants have filled in, the once-sunny Prelude has become dappled shade just as intended, vines have begun to drape the Pavilion, and Toronto citizens and visitors alike throng to the park that was created by Julie in collaboration with Yo-Yo Ma, inspired by Bach’s Suite No. 1 in G Major for unaccompanied cello.
Every week we receive calls and emails from people who love the Toronto Music Garden and want to know more. Julie’s book features lovely photos and plant lists, but of course there’s nothing like seeing the garden for yourself. We hope you enjoy this beautiful and tranquil tour.

Now in its eleventh year, the Summer Music in the Garden programme is a curated series of free concerts of classical music and dance from around the world. Tamara’s imaginative program offerings can be heard on Sunday afternoons in the Menuett and on Thursday evenings in the Gigue. I wish I lived closer!
